- Oriental Beef and Noodles

- 1 1/2 pounds lean, boneless sirloin, cut into thin strips
- 1 red bell pepper chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 carrots, chopped
- 2 tbs. rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup sherry
- 1 tbs. oyster sauce
- 1 tsb. sugar
- 2 tbs. chopped peanuts
- 12 ounces cooked vermicelli

- Combine all ingredients, except noodles, in Crock Pot. Cover; cook on
- Low 8 to 10 hours (High: 4 to 5 hours). Serve over noodles. May be
- doubled for 5 quart models. 6 servings

- Garbanzos and Couscous

- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 carrots, chopped
- 1 14 1/2 ounce can diced tomatoes
- 1 15 ounce can garbanzo beans, drained
- 1 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 3 cloves garlic, mined
- 1/4 tsp. groun nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 1/2 cups cooked couscous

- Combine all ingredients except couscous in Crock-Pot. Mix thoroughly.
- Cover; cook on Low 8 to 10 hours (High: 3 to 4 hours). Add cooked couscous
- during last 15 minutes of cooking. 6 to 8 servings.
